Rivers flow and refresh
Bring new breath
From fresh waters to new city.
Rush by the steady banks
As sun and moon
Smile evenly
Riding clouds as ferry
Across your rippling skirt.
Wisps of your hair
Mist the air
As new eyes find you -
First native,
Then distant,
Then current.
All who find you claim you
Smiling
Evenly
As they rush past now their banks
Having brought
New breath
With refreshing waters
To older city.
And cycle. Refresh. Cycle. Refresh. Rush. Refresh. Stagnate.
And cycle. Refresh. Cycle. Refresh. Rush. Refresh. Stagnate.
Who remembers
Refreshing waters?
They remember
Yanaguana.

Gasp
In golden light
Grip
At crisp blue air
Grasp
Your place in rich soil
Materialize
Outward
Reach for light

As you sprout
Realize
There are others
As you grow
Entangle
With their voices
Their sound into yours and back
Tethering
To eachother
And as you reach
For light -
Hear the voices
Of those no longer here
Feel their stories
Given from other voices
Push you
Closer to light
It is confusing
Maximalist web
That you did not choose to participate in.
Everything before breath was easier.
Focus on your own
Small voice

But reach for light
Reach towards light as petals fall from surrounding Blossoms
Reach to open sky
Where crystals explode in flowering light
And feel
Presence
Tethered to self
No longer
Solitary
Feel presence
Of another - grasping at petals as they sway gentle to earth
Of family
of a friend
Maybe
Of someone you love.
Feel the stalk push and escalate
Colors dancing
Purpose entangled
Will full of entanglement
For whom
You will still Blossom
But now
For whom
Reach for light m

But still
Still
Reach for light
Baptized in open sky
The flower is blossoming
The self is entangling
The self is pulled by those wishing to see its petals - the self tethered to their hands
Spin - spin into the swirl of colors
And faces of those you know within it
Entangled in dancing petals
Or faces - or hearts - of those
Blossoming near you
Tethering to your roots
As light crashes around you
But still spin/reach/tether/entangle
But still
Blossom

Akrasia

I dreamed last night
About a tornado
for the second time in my life.
The world around me was
Damaged -
Everyone maimed.
Everyone but me.
What did it mean - what did it mean?
So
Since I was safe
I decided to try
and to give out all of the food that I had
But when I would touch all the fruit:
There were ants -
And they were biting my hands.
What did it mean?
But still I continued to give
And reach for the fruit -
Seemed like the right thing to do:
To give to those already ruined by
Nature.
Even though they were biting my hands:
They are ruined,
The world is damaged,
And it's biting my hands.
It seemed like the right thing to do.
I just couldn't resist myself.
Akrasia.
